Software engineering

Software shaped around your operation — not the other way round.

Off-the-shelf systems force your team into someone else’s workflow. We design and build software that fits the process you have, removes the spreadsheets and re-keying in between, and connects the systems you already pay for.

One source of truth instead of five spreadsheets
Hours of manual capture removed every week
Systems that talk to each other through clean APIs
Software you own, documented and maintainable
What we deliver

Capabilities

01

Business platforms & portals

Customer portals, job-card systems, quoting and operations platforms — secure, multi-user and built to grow.

02

Systems integration

Connect ERP, accounting, CRM, payment and banking systems so data flows once, automatically, with an audit trail.

03

Workflow automation

Approvals, notifications, document generation and scheduled jobs that run without anyone remembering to press a button.

04

Dashboards & reporting

Live operational dashboards that pull directly from source systems — the number on the screen is the number in the system.

05

Mobile & field apps

Offline-capable apps for technicians, drivers and inspectors, with photos, signatures and GPS captured at the source.

06

SaaS product development

From first version to paying customers — we built and run our own SaaS platform, so we know the whole journey.

Example engagement

Distribution business — quote to invoice

Before

Quotes built in Excel, re-typed into the accounting package, stock checked by phone. Two admin staff spent most of their day copying data.

What we built

A single web platform generates quotes from live stock, converts accepted quotes to invoices and syncs them to accounting automatically.

Result

Quote turnaround from a day to minutes; re-keying eliminated.

Representative example; client details withheld.

Tools of the trade

Technology we work with

We choose technology to fit your environment and your team — not to fit our preferences. Everything we deliver is documented and built on open, supportable standards.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When is custom software better than an off-the-shelf system?

When your process is what sets you apart, when you are paying for several packages and re-keying data between them, or when off-the-shelf tools force workarounds your team maintains in spreadsheets. If a standard product fits 90% of the way, we will usually recommend configuring it and integrating around it instead. See custom vs off-the-shelf software.

Can you integrate with the accounting or ERP system we already use?

Usually, yes. Most modern accounting, ERP, CRM and banking platforms expose APIs, and older systems can often be reached through database, file or scheduled-export integrations. We design the integration with validation, retries and an audit trail. See systems integration.

Who owns the software you build?

You do. The code, documentation and deployment are handed over, and the system is built on mainstream, supportable technology so another team could maintain it if needed.

Do you support the software after go-live?

Yes. We offer ongoing support, monitoring and improvement. We also built and run our own SaaS platform, AccountLink, so we operate production software ourselves every day.
